A new SOMM Additional Training course will begin in Mannheim during the week of October 25 through October 29, 2010. The "Certified Music Merchant" (CMM) Course consists of 3 classes which build upon each other and a written assessment test at the end. • The command of all fundamental business processes
  • Competent advice and sales techniques
  • Music appreciation and business thinking

LEA AWARD MOVES FROM HAMBURG TO FRANKFURT AM MAIN

There's something new to report from the Trade Fair in Frankfurt: The Live Entertainment Award (PRG LEA), formerly awarded at the O2 World Arena in Hamburg, will move to Frankfurt am Main in 2011. The PRG LEA on April 5, 2011 will be a glamorous gala evening in the Frankfurt Festival Hall which will mark the beginning of both the Frankfurt Music Fair and Prolight + Sound.

This further highlight in the Music Fair's event calendar raises hopes for better chances that the musical instrument and equipment industry will be placed in the focal point of media attention. A large media response looks to be provided for. Award winners of this event, established in 2006, will be providing the entertainment action on stage: Promoters, managers, agents and impresarios. The aim of the award is to demonstrate the variety and multifaceted nature of the German venue offerings available in the area of live entertainment. The moderator for the first PRG LEA to be held in Frankfurt am Main will be, as in previous years, the multi-instrument talent and entertainer Götz Alsmann.

You can find further information about PRG LEA at www.lea2011.de. For more information about the Frankfurt Music Fair look under www.musikmesse.com.
