We represent the interests of manufacturers, distributors, importers and music retailers of musical instruments and music equipment in Europe. We advocate for the economic and political interests of the industry and promote music culture and access to music.

Instrument Market Out of Tune - The PPWR risks pushing small manufacturers, distributors, specialist retailers and niche suppliers out of European markets
The musical instrument and music equipment sector is highly international and strongly SME-driven. In Germany alone, the sector accounts for approximately EUR 2.86 billion in revenue, more than 2,500 companies and around 15,000 people in employment. Specialist manufacturers, distributors and retailers in particular depend on being able to sell even small quantities across Europe.

The musical instrument and music equipment industry is an extremely diverse sector of the German economy. With its small and medium-sized companies, it forms the core of the strongly internationally networked German music industry and makes a significant contribution to export strength and economic dynamism.
