Note on the processing and use of video submissions
We use the cloud storage service Dropbox (Dropbox International Unlimited Company, Ireland) to transfer videos as part of the ‘machtMUSIK’ campaign. Dropbox is used solely for the secure transfer of video files to us. We download the submitted videos and do not store them permanently on Dropbox; instead, we transfer them to an internal video platform that complies with data protection regulations. The videos are not stored permanently on Dropbox. What data is processed? In connection with the submission of videos, the following personal data in particular may be processed: • the video itself (image and audio recordings of individuals), • where applicable, file names or accompanying details, • technical access data (e.g. IP address) processed in connection with the use of Dropbox. Purpose of processing and use The submitted video will be used exclusively as part of the ‘machtMUSIK’ campaign. This use includes, in particular: • publication on the campaign website, • publication via the campaign’s social media channels, • communication with partners, • press and public relations work, • events as part of the Fête de la Musique 2026. The video will not be used for commercial advertising, product placement or outside the aforementioned campaign context. Legal basis Processing is carried out on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Rights and withdrawal Upon request, the management or the artist will receive a final version of the video for approval prior to publication. Participation in the campaign and consent to the use of the data may be withdrawn at any time with future effect. In this case, the content in question will no longer be used and – where possible – will be removed from future publications. Relation to third countries Dropbox is an internationally operating provider. The processing of data outside the European Union cannot be completely ruled out. Dropbox undertakes to comply with the applicable data protection regulations and employs appropriate safeguards in accordance with Article 46 of the GDPR (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Retention period The videos are stored on Dropbox only temporarily and will be deleted once they have been transferred to our internal video platform, provided there are no statutory retention obligations.
